No GRE. Multiple international poster presentations, second author publications. Experience devising, coordinating, and analyzing a pilot study. Sadly rejected.

Interviewed last week, Prof told me I'd be getting an offer at the end of the interview, got the offer a week and a half later.

Interviewed via zoom on Jan 22, still waiting for final decision.

Bachelor's in Comp Sci, 5 research positions. Great letters of recommendation, one from a ucsd reu. Not impressed with the PIs behavior tbh. Ghosted after saying they would meet to speak.

Received email to check portal. Generic rejection letter. Undergrad 3.7. Masters 4.0. Excellent recommendation letters and history. No lab experience though. Good luck everyone! GRE was not needed/optional.

Updated status on website.

Email to check application portal. In there, generic rejection letter (“We regret to inform you that you have not been selected for admission. A number of factors are considered in evaluating each application. Please be aware that UC San Diego receives a large number of applications and many excellent candidates could not be offered admission. Unfortunately, we are only able to extend offers to a limited number of qualified applicants.”)

Grad GPA: 4.0, 4 years research experience, 1 co-authored pub, 8 conference presentations (2 first authored non-poster). Huge congrats to everyone who got an interview! Wishing you all the best :D
