Received an email from faculty of interest 1 in mid December and another PI late December.

With a master's degree (3.89, top1%), 3 publication

No GRE, 1Pub, 1 Conference, 3 Strong letters

I received an unofficial offer on 1/5.

Previously interviewed with PI.

IELTS 8. I got into Project Track and will likely be deferring to Fall'24 as I haven't prepared jack shit in terms of finances and Visa; I had applied to 3 US unis only out of which UMN(rejected) , Northwstern University(got an admit within 8 days of appyng in March, but I had decided to defer due to shit ton of money which I don't think I have and apply for other unis next fall intake) and Purdue. But now that I have got Purdue I will most likely be going there next fall. I chose this path predominantly because I have a job offer in hand and at the moment I think instead of rushing with the visa and loan process It would be in my best interest to gain Industry experience for a year.

First author for one SCIE paper and one domestic paper, and two oral presentations at domestic conferences, contact failed, low undergrad GPA, low GRE, not a good research fit.
