Interviewed with PI and with PhD student. Both seemed to go well. they encouraged me to visit the lab in person but I wasn't able to - regrets... Got rejected with generic email today. Best of luck to everyone!

Responsive Env. Have been pursuing this dream for almost a decade! Did not get an interview this year. Was waitlisted in 2016 and have been in contact with the PI and PhDs since. Congratulations to those admitted. For those who are still applying, try your best and apply again if you really want to get in. I was ready to work harder and to apply again if rejected. Dreams come true. Good Luck, everybody!

A generic email regarding the rejection. Quite disappointing.

Received short email that I've been waitlisted. Had a great interview but seems like this is a hyper-competitive year...

To the poster below from tangible media, does that student jofei ou? And what was the assignment about he has 270 applicant this year as he told and when was the interview

2 interviews (student & POI) + assignment with a 3 days deadline - Disappointed

GPA 3.79, great recommendation letters, current student saw promise in my application, just not a great fit for whatever they're looking for this year!

I got rejected. Did anyone get into Social Machines or LLK?

Got In! Pursued this for 2 years! Stunned.. Not able to write code ;D

I heard from two different groups in January asking for more information, but never got asked for interviews.

standard rejection email. Acceptance rate is 6%

Mass rejection email- no interview, so this was expected. Given the high number of applicants, I'm still thrilled that someone took the time to comb through my website. Best wishes to those who were admitted!

Honestly, it wasn't the greatest research fit. I would have felt compelled to go there because of the name - now I get to go to the perfect school for me :D

We received more than 1200 applications and were able to admit less than 6%. In selecting so few from a large and talented group, we must turn down many qualified applicants. I think this year was so competetive past years they have only 700 to 800 applicant only Good lick everyone

Got an official rejection. Heart broken but expected. To those who got in, I hope you really make the most out of the opportunity you've gotten.
