Any ARC students heard back yet?

Was invited to the weekend. Personal email from department chair. Impressed with my app/proposal, but not a good fit for the overall program. After my visit, that is quite reasonable, as my interests only aligned with one prof, but still disappointing.

Congratulations to the applicants who have received an offer! However, if you decided not to go, please let them know. Thanks very much!

To the other Emory poster-- I also haven't heard anything post-interview. I was originally told that the department would meet the Monday following interview weekend, so decisions have likely been made, but they might be waiting for funding approval and for interviews with any applicants who had to visit at a separate date.

4.0 undergrad, 4.0 first grad degree, and 3.98 second grad GPA, 3 strong LORs.

I feel the same way I felt when all those DNC emails leaked, and their bias for Hilary was confirmed: disappointed, but not surprised. 1a/0w/1r, still waiting to hear from 8 more.

Bummed out.

Notified that I was rejected. I'm not mad because I was offered admission to another institution with a high-ranking program.

I got a lovely email from the heard of my dept. saying that though the faculty I met with unanimously recommended me to the GDR, I was not awarded a spot. I am, however, high on the waitlist. If you've gotten into Emory and don't want to go - I'd appreciate if you let them know sooner rather than later. Thanks!
