Got an email offering an interview from Dr. Capellini (not the PI I applied under) this evening! Seems consistent with past years and them offering interviews the last week of January.

No papers but 3 years of research experience, undergrad in Biophysics from US University

2.5 years of undergraduate research, 1 published paper in PLoS Pathogens (second author)

I have one paper (first author) and three (co-author) papers. I am not goot at english.

Got a phone call from my faculty interviewer notifying my acceptance! Email will come in a day or two he said! So excited!! "all the interviewers loved you!" made my whole week :)) Revisit March 10-11

Invited to recruitment weekend during Feb 12-13

got an email to set up an interview in the next 2 to 3 days. Seems like they don't do interviews in batches.

Email from the program coordinator. Profs will contact me over the next three weeks to set up interviews via zoom. The date on the email says 01/19

Total waste of time. If you are not going to even consider international students why steal their application money. "The Admissions Committee has met and has made it's final interview invitation decisions. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a invitation this year. Computational Biology is a small program and we receive more applicants than we can consider for admission. Your status page through the Graduate Division-run application will be updated to reflect this decision at a later date. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors."
