First time applying. sGPA: 3.81, cGPA: 3.37. Undergrad in psychology with biology minor. Over 170 hours of volunteer experience, primarily in a private practice with children, as well as some experience working with adults with aphasia. 1 year of paid research experience in areas of public health, mental health, and children's services. Two academic and one clinical reference. Will be accepting!

TTPB: Thank you for the update. Has anyone on the waitlist received an admissions offer yet ?

High GPA, two+ years of work experience with residential and public projects, BAS from Carleton, great references, have had international and national architectural research publications and public speakings and recognitions, clear thesis outline that matches what UofT does, got rejected only to know other ppl without architectural background have reserved seats too and some got in! tough competition! Good luck everyone!

Was waitlisted by UofT, but received the rejection letter from the associate chair. I declined an offer from Albany earlier last month, and with this rejection letter, I can finally make my decision for the cycle.

TTPB: I received my official offer of admission on March 23. My status on Acorn changed to invited.

TTPB: Who is your POI? Were you accepted into the MA or PhD? When were you notified that you were accepted? I have no heard any official decision either.

Was expecting rejection because I didn't receive an Interview, but was kind of disappointed by how long it took them to inform me. Standard rejection letter attached to email.

TTPB: Have any DPE MA/PHD applicants received an official offer/funding letter? I received an email offer from my POI and they even start engaging me in their work now. But there have not been any official details ever since?! This feels very weird.

Just received an email with this letter attached: “The Women & Gender Studies Institute has completed its review of applications to the Ph.D. Program in Women and Gender Studies. I regret to inform you that we are not able to offer you admission to our program this year. We received a large number of strong applications, and were only able to offer admission to a small fraction of our applicants. Thank you for taking the time to apply to our program, and please accept our best wishes for your future studies and endeavors.“

International applicant. BSc and MSc at UBC, high GPA, publication in prep. My field is not popular though (environmental chemistry). Based on previous conversation with potential supervisor, was told that this year is extremely competitive so I kinda expected this.
