I was not invited to the Explore Emory event, by "no message" I mean literally nothing, so if you have been invited to the event, I believe you are not in the same bin as I am and will have the interview soon. Good Luck :)

haven't receive any message from the program, so emailed a committee faculty, who told me that top candidates selected have all been given interview and I am currently in the “hold” bin, "the committee may reach to this pool if needed, but unlikely."

Feeling pretty honored actually to be waitlisted instead of directly rejected by such a competitive program...

TT Penn PB: Yeah, that does seem lower than usual. When I spoke to the department, they said they were accepting 6-10 students. I'm surprised it would be 2 international students, maybe their funding for students is going to be from the department or med school since there are issues with grants and citizenship.

TTPB: Wow really? Do you have a reliable source who told you that? That seems low given the past classes...

TT Penn PB: I heard that Penn would only admit 3 PhD students in total this year, and only two spots for international students. Very competitive..
