I just contacted the Admission office for an update. They said if you haven't received anything by now, then you will most likely receive a response in May (final review). May??? Seriously. Isn't April 15 National final day to make a decision. What is going on? We pay huge ransom to release our results and they just throw our application without bothering to update us. Disgusting! I have 5 pubs (2 IEEE Trans, 1 APS Physical Review B), High GPA, Several years of research experience. Only thing is I am not from a top ranked univ.

5 conference presentation, 2 publications , 2 US patents, and 2 year work experience. Offered a GRA and an university fellowship. I knew the professor before applying to UT Austin. I guess the familiarity helped with the admit.
