Applied to the Qualifying Year of the Master of Social Work program, got rejected today.

Canadian applicant. 3a/0w/0r/1p

To the two below, i contacted three professors a month ago with no reply whatsoever. I guess the student should be accepted first so that to get a reply from professors. This is taking ages.

To the guy below, did you apply for Hep theory by any chance? I have contacted both the professors, one of them 3 months ago and again 3 days ago, no reply. Same with the graduate studies coordinator. What is going on with McGill? :O

Email from POI: "The applicant pool was very strong, so it is very challenging to be admitted."

To the poster below: Yes. I had the interview with same professors. However, they just give me one week to consider it.

Pretty bummed, but it is a competitive program. I wonder how much being an international student affected my application.

To the poster below, I also had my interview yesterday, but I haven't heard back. Did you interview with Prof. Barras?

To the poster below: Yes. I had interview yesterday.

To the poster below? Were you interviewed?

Hi, statues changed from submitted to InReview. Is it happened for others? Do you know how long it would take?

Contacted the department regarding the application review process. They told the review process for master's intake into the department will start at March end. So stop waiting for it day-in and day-out. But still, if someone heard any different from the department then do let us know as well.

Congrats to all those accepted. If you were accepted and aren't planning on attending please please please decline your offer quickly, this is my number one choice!
