waitlist on funding opportunities. Anybody knows how many admissions they offered this year?

Offered master, but decline it immediately, don’t wanna be a cash cow

gpa grad. Offer for masters with no funding.

Offered the MA degree instead. Wonder though if there is anyone not being offered MA degree. Feels like a cash cow program.

Rejected by the PhD program but got accepted into the Master's

I got an MA's offer. Probably reject it.

I am very pleased to offer you admission to the Master's program in economics at Penn State beginning in the Fall of 2019. We are not in a position to offer funding or tuition relief for the Master's program. Please contact Giselle Buck at [email protected] (and cc Krista Winkelblech at [email protected]) before February 28 if you want to avail yourself of this opportunity and receive the formal offer letter. We will then require that you respond to the offer by May 1, 2019. If your plans become clear before then, we would appreciate hearing as soon as possible, so that we can contact applicants on the waiting list. Let me take this opportunity to congratulate you on your fine academic record. I understand that the Masters program was not your first choice. However, this year we received many more deserving applications than we could accommodate and we are therefore unable to offer you a place in the PhD program. Please feel free to write to me if you have any questions. Best regards. Marc Henry Director of Graduate Studies, Economics
