Hmmm, the committee of BME, UCI is of procrastination, and despises the applicant, but I have already decided to go to a better place.

Called UCI. They told me the indecision is not specific to me and there are lots of students confused with the situation. Also, they told that the decisions will be made by the end of May. Ridiculous situation, but can't do much I guess. Best of luck to everyone.

I'm off to the Himalayas to become a hermit.

I'm the poster below that commented about an update for "Awaiting financial documents". I'm having some trouble deciphering both the grammar and the meaning of the reply that I received. Overlooking the grammatical mistakes and lack of structure in their sentences, it sounds like no decision has yet been made and things will get updated once that happens. Back to not keeping any hopes it is. :D

Applied to 7 schools, interviewed at 4, matched to 2nd choice

There was no activity on the status page, with only a checklist marking all documents as received. Today I saw that the page has been updated with a new item in the checklist for "awaiting Financial Document". No notification/letter of admission of any kind. I sent them an email. I have no other admits and had lost all hope. Now I'm a little hopeful and extremely confused.

I received an email from the UCI admissions office prompting me to log into the portal to check my application status. I did not take the GRE. I have an unrelated bachelors that isn't in design, psychology, IT, or computer science. However, I did complete a UX/UI bootcamp certificate program before applying for this masters. I had a portfolio that I devoted enormous amount of energy to showcase some of my professional work as well as school work.

My status still shows as 'submitted'. Did this status change for anyone? Also, did anyone get accepted yet?

Well, I'm its UCD or nothing now. Dejected :(

To the previous poster: I'm a Phd candidate, they haven't notified me either. Its probably going to be a reject.

Has anyone else not heard from UC Irvine PhD?? They are already sending out master's rejections and they haven't sent any for PhD...

Whatever. 15th reject. GPA on a scale of 10 from a central university in India.
