Email to check website with rejection letter

Accepted with Park fellowship!

generic rejection letter, kind of expected it

Email to check portal, letter in portal

I got an email to check the portal for my admissions decision and saw I was accepted. Also received merit-based financial assistance. Waiting to hear from other schools, but this offer might be at the top of my list for now.

Email for informal interview

I did not receive an email from BGC. My status update was posted on my account.

Has anyone else not heard anything from Northwestern's AfAm PhD program? Haven't been rejected nor sought for interview.

Ignore "waitlisted" for me as well. Also got the email about diversity resources and nearly had a heart attack! Still have yet to receive formal decision. Good luck to us all!

12/k year funding. Honestly surprised and hurt not to receive more. I have significant international experience funded by the department of state, I am a McNair Scholar,University Honors Scholar, and Gilman Scholar. I have 3 years of funded research experience, conference presentations, human rights oriented volunteer work, and an honors thesis . This is my dream program and I cannot afford to attend with this little funding. This one really hurt. I just don't know what I did wrong.

To the commenter who stated that all decisions have already been made. How did you learn acceptances/waitlists already went out? Did you receive an official rejection? Thanks in advance for sharing!

No word on funding. 8 years in campaign experience, 2 years abroad, and a Fulbright Scholarship recipient.
