Form letter email alerting me that I've been wait listed. I already accepted another offer to a PhD program, so good luck to anyone else on the waitlist.

Received a personal letter from Chris Abani letting me know they had to decline many strong applications about five hours before the official form-letter decline from the department.

First try and first acceptance. Couldn't be happier. Now have to wait on the others.

Nice personal email!

Got a text from the associate chair stating that I got in. Asked me to give him a call, ideally asap.

After being rejected by 20 programs over the past two years, accepted to one that's a perfect fit. Good luck to everyone else applying this cycle.
