Only had prelim phone interview with POI. No invitation to visit

Was not asked to interview. Email notification was to check the admissions portal.

Talked to a prof. who was doing very similar stuff to my current research. I made sure to ask for resources and ask thoughtful questions during our interview and subsequent emails.

Accepted two days after interview weekend

Timing of acceptance should be dependent on what professor you interview with
