Received informal call notifying me of the invitation last week, received official notice on the 17th.

3 years undergrad research, postbac at the NIH, 2 publications.

I got an interview!!! YAY!!! Former CIRM Intern and current SRA1 at UCI for 2.5 years with TONS of research experience in cell culture and animal surgeries. Publication in peer-review.

So excited! First interview invite :)

Two interview weekends: 1/16 and 1/30

Invite via phone from professor for interview weekend end of January, still awaiting email for more information.

Submitted application on Dec 7, 2018 and was interviewed on Feb 9, 2019. Received decision on Feb 14, 2019. Offered a fellowship of $11,326 for two years.

I hope this information be beneficiary for other applicants.

Got an email to check the website. It was a really drawn out process and I don't feel that my application even got looked at because I applied after January 15th even though they were still accepting applications. I feel like I ONLY received the rejection once I emailed them a few days ago about the status. Which tells me that my application would've remained without decision/ignored if I hadn't emailed about it but who knows.

Thank goodness after a long wait.

First off congrats to those that got into UCI. To the poster below, I'm on the same boat, I don't have a decision yet on my application and it's already June. I have seen admits and rejections sent out the end of May. I was told by via phone call that they are still processing applications. It is getting super late in the season though and I understand the frustrations.

So its June now. Every time I contacted them the only thing they could assure me of was that the decisions would be made available by May. How callous and irresponsible can a public university like UCI be! Hoping the rest of you who might still be left hanging have got and accepted other offers. With a place with this level of mismanagement handling admissions, one can only assume how they will treat you once you do get admitted.

Got a mail saying checking the admission portal.

I applied on March 1st (deadline for international students) but I dont think they look at my application until May. I got the interview invitation mid-May and got the decision a week later. Since my GMAT score was sent a week after the application was submitted, it was not deemed complete until May. The wait time is extremely long (3 months for final decision) but since it’s my top choice, I guess it’s all worthy.

I was one of the comments before saying haven't heard anything. Just got news today! Super excited since it was the only program I applied to.
