Wasn't surprised

Inerviewed Feb 2-4 (weekend 2) and received notification Feb 9. Unrelated BA undergrad, plus BS/MS as well with lots of industry and academic experience but no pubs. Very laidback interviews with faculty (3 on Thursday, 3 on Friday) although 3 days of video is exhausting. Really knowing how to talk about my experiences helped. MCB looks like an amazing program!!

Email from program director saying a final decision was made. Logged into my application to see the status was "Denied". Somewhat surprised given all of my interviews went well and one faculty member actually said, "I hope we get you." Good luck to everyone they did get!

Warm and personal email from the program director about my acceptance. Super excited and ready to visit the campus soon. I met on Jan 19 and 20 for a pre-interview with faculty and students that went well.

Update on application portal about acceptance into program. Pre-interview meet was on Jan 20 2022. Cool program

Interview 1/25-1/27; Phone call from POI telling me I was accepted! So excited and good luck to everyone else who applied / interviewed!

Lab Tech. Waitlisted. Contacts within the program say it's unlikely to change to acceptance

As an undergrad here, I'd like to say the rejection letter is too mean. There isn't "Thank you for your application" nor "We are regret/sorry to inform you" in it. The letter says "The admission committee has asked me to inform you that your application was not approved." Waste of time.

Received text message from faculty in CMB on 02/09/22 then received official acceptance offer in email 02/10/22.
