TTPB who posted an acceptance, can you share further details? Did they roll out all offers?

Was told that my research interests didn't fit as well as other applicants, and that competition was stiff this year for my labs of interest, especially.

Did anyone hear back from the department after the interviews

Emailed admissions to check the status of my application after attending the recruitment meeting a few weeks ago, they told me that acceptances were offered to some candidates and that I am ranked on their waitlist, and I should hear back on the final decision in a few weeks

They said they chose another student because I cannot qualify for American grants...

Emailed admission department re: timeline. Reply stated that application still under review, decisions usually come out first two weeks of March

Generic email from the department. I emailed asking about the status of my application and 2 days later received the rejection email.

Simple one like email saying I was rejected with link to full decision letter. Expected but super disappointed.

I don't know why schools can't just tell you their decision and instead tell you to go check the portal for a basic freaking rejection.

Did not receive a notification whatsoever. Contacted the PIs and they told me that I was waitlisted.
