Invitation for the open house.

unofficial rejection, but since I didn't receive the open house invite I'm pretty sure it means I won't be admitted

Invitation to open house; "To be clear, while we neither make official offers nor admit students until after our Open House, we only invite applicants we are considering for admission" From what I've heard from faculty, this is a very strong indicator of admission, and closer to a "check" than another filter to pass.

Got invitation to the Open House. Email says "while we neither make official offers nor admit students until after our Open House, we only invite applicants we are considering for admission" Subfield: Gravitational Physics / No publication, No interview, 2 year research at my college, 2 REU outside of my college

Does anyone have an interview or other news from this school?

Ignore waitlist. Has anyone heard of anything from UT?

IR department. Received several emails from faculty members! Very excited to hear this result :)

Attended the virtual recruitment weekend on 2/4. Received an unofficial offer from PI, official offer letter to come in the next few weeks!

Their semester starts in the summer. I have 3 strong LORs from 2 professors and a supervisor that watched me during my volunteer time. I do have undergraduate research experience as well. Lots of volunteer time as nursing homes and Alzheimer's fundraisers.
