Spring 2023 start but couldn't choose that option. Online only bioinformatics program. Got notified on December 1st. Worked in biotech for ~3 years.

I received an email stating to sign something to see my admission decision, but the page took me to my admit package. It took me about a month to hear back for the January 2023 cohort. Lots of leadership experience, no volunteer experience, no GRE, graduating this December with a bachelor's in biology. Relevant work experience included working as a science teacher at a summer camp, medical assistant for a clinic, and a research associate in a hospital's ER where I worked directly with patients.

I'd never thought of applying for this program actually, but because I didn't need to pay its application fee, I did. What I liked about the program is the flexibility in taking courses (like you can take classes at other universities if you're in a PhD program), but I guess they don't appreciate applicants who see this as a reason to apply. My interest isn't exactly in this area either. I was aiming at some deconstructive studies. Oh well.

Is there anyone who has been waitlisted in NYU but hasn't been heard back from them regrading the result. Every time I mail them I get the same template reply mentioning that they're still working on the waitlist. So is there a way to get myself out of the waitlist and know the status of my application?
