Absolutely pumped!

To the other posters, I am another disappointed applicant. Graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Master's, participated in a couple of conferences, editing my first paper for publication, as well as a lot of research/coding experience. I have been accepted to another university that I will happily be going to, but I am quite shocked at the lack of communication from UCLA. Good luck to whoever is still waiting!

Was in contact with a PI since December and still couldn't even get into an MS or PhD. Letter dated 22 April. I guess they didn't have enough spaces, given last year's deferrals. Anyway, good to have a closure.

TTPB: Hey fellow dis-appointee! Yeah...I haven't heard anything yet either, everything says submitted and that's where it has been for months. Earlier I emailed the graduate advisor that we are supposed to for an update, but was ghosted. I'm in the same boat as you, already committed to a much much better offer, but wanted to use the two acceptances to barter. Oh well. I'm happy and also wish all their applicants got better offers so that they realize they can't just ghost applicants without even saying sorry! I digress and also hope no one is waiting solely on UCLA for Earth Science.

Emailed them about my status and they said they are done making offers for this year and official rejections will follow soon.

Ughhhh. I emailed them after seeing the two posts below to see what my status is, and they got back to me with a rejection. I literally have nowhere to go now :(

Has anyone heard back from UCLA? I already committed to another university (better ranked), but I am very upset about how the EPS program at UCLA handles their graduate admissions. I really hope all the other applicants get better offers so UCLA so they can learn a lesson and better communicate with their future applicants :@ this is disrespectful! I have not heard back since my application was submitted in December. My stats: high GPA, first-gen, strong LOR, 2 Publications, 5 conferences, from a top university, and research w a well-known faculty for 2 years. 8a/0r/0w/1p(UCLA)!

I emailed the DGS this morning and i got an unofficial likely acceptance!! I can't believe it I'm so happy!!!

Anyone else still waiting to receive a response?
