TTPB NR: Applied for the Physics program

To the people who got into numerical relativity at Penn State - Did you guys apply to the Astronomy and Astrophysics program or the Physics program?

Very disappointed. I want to go to a program that values me and if having better GRE scores is more important to this program, then I am glad I did not make it.

TTPB about numerical relativity: Penn State is definitely my top choice at the moment, but I do have a few other offers that I'm going to consider before making a firm decision. If I go, my plan is to work with David Radice.

For those still waiting on Penn State, they said in an email that they are still reviewing applications and “will have a better sense of things” around mid March

TTPB: The American student who got admitted to Penn state and expressed interest in Numerical relativity in his/her application, is Penn state your first preference now? Are you going to join? Are you planning on working with Prof. David Radice and anyone else? Please answer, if you don't mind. I got admitted and am planning something along the similar lines.

TTPB: Thank all you guys below sharing what you know about admission in gravity theory. I am also interested in studying gravity theory at PSU. I think they would probably send several offers (like three to five offers) for that one spot instead of picking just only one person.
