Saw that some results had been posted earlier in the month so I reached out to PI who responded that I was on the waitlist.

3.85 UD GPA. Economics BA from a T50 program. Math through Real Analysis (A). Two years at the Fed.

Anyone has heard from BU these days? I received an email from admission several weeks ago which said that their reviewing process was ongoing but no updates was shown on my portal… It is a pretty weird year as no one has posted BU chem related result on grad cafe :((((

Congratulations to those admitted. I have another deadline by the end of Feb, but BU is my dream school. If anyone got an offer who wants to decline, I will truly appreciate it if they can inform the coordinator by the end of Feb. Thanks!

Form letter. Went to Junk. Had straight As from MA state school. Gonna spend the year trying to get published, and then try again. Major disappointment.

I am writing to let you know that the Department of Economics Ph.D. Admissions Committee has reviewed your application for admission. Ms. Mirtha Cabello, Ph.D. Program Administrator, has informed the Economics Master's Program that they are unfortunately unable to recommend you be admitted to their program. Please contact her directly if you have any questions at [email protected] . Per the Ph.D. program policy, some students with high academic qualifications who were not considered for admission are automatically considered for a master's degree, and many have accepted our offer and end up coming to Boston University.

Tough cycle. First offer after 6r and 2ir.

Received an informal letter in early February, and today received the formal one

not a formal rejection email (coming later) but asking if i want to apply for their masters program
