Applied to Machine Learning and Data Science Program. Bachelors from IIT (BHU), Varanasi in Electrical Engineering, 2019 graduate

Currently in an Aerospace Engineering master program at top US university; no ECE background, limited coding experience, did not submit GRE scores. Very shocking that I actually got in. I guess it's just easier if you are already recognized by another top graduate program, so there's no loss for CMU to give out an extra offer.

Received the status update email around 12:30 PM PDT. Deferred to Spring

Did not appear for GRE. Had 4 conference papers, 1 journal paper, and 1 US patent. Toefl 103/ 120.

Those applied to Michigan ECE, are you just not posting your results, or has no one really received a decision? There is only one admit here, and no rejections. Please share if you have info! (The post below is me, I just forgot to leave a note.)

Bachelors in Electronics. 1 year of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer. 3 papers. Received an e-mail to check portal. Got into the MLDS Specialization.

Previously, I had two interviews with POI. The first one was infromal ( We discussed his and my research past researches.) Second one was technical. He said he would make an offer to the department. My acceptance letter came two weeks later.

Accepted to the MLDS specialization, MS in ECE. The checklist disappeared for me a few hours before the update.

Cookie-cutter rejection email from Dean of ECE college stating I was qualified but weeded out due to excessive good applications and limited staff/facility resources. Rejection still hasn't appeared in online application portal.
