"This year the department received hundreds of applications from exceptional students..."

This is my number one choice of program so I am praying to the grad school gods that I get in.

Notified by email at 6:47 PM PST (so late!). This is my first choice, and I'm unbelievably excited!

Had a discussion with a couple professors prior to the admissions notification.

Anyone get a waitlist email from ucsb? Just got one today and unsure if any one accepted is thinking of going somewhere else or how many people are on the waitlist with me

Status changed to "waiting approval by PAO."

Received an email from the department that read: "Thank you for applying to UNH Department of English's PhD program in Composition Studies. The Covid-19 pandemic has created a number of unforeseen circumstances, and as a result, the faculty have made the difficult decision not to admit doctoral students into the program for this coming year (Fall 2021)." They encouraged me to apply again, and informed me that they will be accepting applications for Fall '22. I have already been offered admission/funding to other programs for Fall '21, so I will not be reapplying. They did say that they will be refunding the application fee.

Interviewed with them in late Jan. They made it sound informal/casual beforehand and in reality it really wasn't very!

notified to check portal - notice of rejection

International student, no GRE submitted, not so high GPA. Went to a top prestigious university in South Korea and studied Liberal Arts. I lived abroad for 17 years. Strong SOP and LORs.

Received an unofficial offer of admission via email. Full funding package and two scholarship nominations.

After being waitlisted last year, I was rejected this year. Best of luck to the MAGES students and anyone who is thinking about applying should still apply, regardless of GPA or background.
