MPhil (Patristics Track); waiting for College Preference and Funding Results

To the poster below, your insecurity is not an excuse to judge people like that. Hope you learn some humility before being realistic.

TTPB: May I ask which research group you got accepted into? And when was your interview? Thanks!

I applied for Mathematics of Random Systems CDT (still waiting to hear back), so certainly did not expect an email from Interdisciplinary Bioscience DTP. After an inquiry, I was told that my application was sent over to BBSRC CDT from the Maths department as they thought my application might be of interest to them.

Applied to 4 other programmes in Oxford; got rejected from all of them. So this is the final nail in the coffin. Maybe I never stood a chance from the start with my bad academic results (low 2.1 + ongoing masters with no marks so far).

MPhil linguistics. I received an email at 7 am. just like the other posts today, No news on the college and funding, which I hope I can get some.

Interview three weeks ago today.

Interview 23th Feb; interview questions are very specific and tough. Some of them I don't think have a answer for them. So just make sure you have a clear understanding of your research proposal and related theories. No need to over-prepare. Good luck.

Has anyone been interviewed for the Astrophysics DPhil program?

Accepted for MPhil Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics 7am this morning. Applied for Jan deadline. Low tier RG uni on track for 1st.

Recieved the email an hour ago. No word on funding yet (I won't be able to attend without it) but fingers crossed!

MPhil. No word of funding.

Applied for Jan 22nd deadline. Rejected w/o interview.

TTPB: Haven't heard back, but I received an email when I applied that it will take 8-10 weeks after the deadline (22nd of Jan) to get results. So, I expect they'll notify us around mid-March.
