I got an admit to spring 22 but I don't wanna join then cause that means wasting my summer. Can I defer my admit to fall 22 instead as I already have a job so I can make up for the months this way instead of wasting my student visa duration in US ?

Finally after so long. Got into MSCS AI for Spring. Gonna accept. Couple of publications in relevant field, two internship one research one industrial. From a private university in India with GPA 9.04.

(Data Science course in Computer Science) Waitlisted a week ago. Got spring admit instead as I expected. Declined the offer immediately !rnApplied for January 15th deadline.rnInternational student, undergraduate from non US uni. GPA 4.1/4.5 GRE V153 Q165 W3.0 TOEFL 97 , no papers , no working exp, some projects including 2 capstone projects. Uploaded Personal Essay and research proposal as additional documents. TTPB: Congrats. Did you apply to other programs within USC or just cs? Mind sharing when you submitted application and if letter of recommendations were strong as far as you know? Research experience?

yes, i was waitlisted last week. statistics degree from CSU system and working for the gov. gpa is 3.6.

I don't think they have much seats left tbh. They just don't wanna leave any seats empty and hence all the waitlist drama and stuff. Anyway, glad I started the process with other admit and didn't keep waiting Word of advise: Don't let this waitlist thing ruin your masters as things are uncertain this year. Also, they aren't offering direct deferrals to international students. So, I think the spring admits are reserved for the students in the US. All the best you'll

Yes I was waitlisted few days back. I am just telling you what I got. My deadline to respond is May 26 or they will withdraw my application. My stats..CS from CSU system, 3.9 gpa..no publications..no research experience..I didn't submit GRE..
