Got an email from potential PI I had been talking with saying they didnt have an offer for me.

Carefully considering it but EXCITED

3 years full time experience, 1 pub in a good journal

Absolutely thrilled. Two co-author papers, one first author paper in preparation, research experience adds up to about 3 years of full-time work.

Rejected after Interviews. Had 6 interviews that I felt went very well. Some interviewers expressed that they hoped to see me on campus and had their fingers crossed that I would choose Stanford. Unfortunately, after the interview week it was radio silence until I received an email to check the portal which had my rejection letter posted. Good luck to everyone who was admitted, I'm sure you are all amazing and will do some awesome research!

1 publication, 1 senior research thesis, 14 months equivalent full time research experience. 3~ years commitment to two different labs. Independent biology research project. One of 40~ students invited to interview, was told that usually 10~5 new students enroll each year with a high yield rate for those admitted. Too bad :c was one of my top two school.

Official letter from the Graduate School to come March 8. Admitted student visit is March 20-22. I'm direct from undergrad (T50 public) with no publications. MolBio seems like a great department :)
