To people who have been accepted by UCI with funding: have you received a notice of updated status? Is this the official letter by School of Social Sciences Graduate Student Affairs Office that Prof. Duffy mentioned in the unofficial letter email? Didn't see any funding details, a little worried

Invite to visit their MSE program in March. To the person below, I'm not sure about your situation. I'd prioritize Carnegie Mellon instead of UCI, CMU is ranked higher in MSE than UCI. Otherwise, if you're going to UCI, I'll see you there probably! :)

With full funding!

I was sent an email that invited me to the graduate student visit weekend (March 6th). There was no mention of an official offer. I will have to miss this event in favor of Carnegie Mellon's visit weekend (on the same day). I hope this does not affect my final admission decision.

14 part-time months of undergraduate research. 14 full-time months of post-grad research. 6 months of biotech work. One 2nd-author publication, one poster presentation, one 2nd-author in review.

Does anybody know what are the chances of being accepted of the waitlist? Any stats? Anyone accepted and not interested in attending, would very much appreciate your notification of the department!

Around the same time other people were posting their interviews, I got an email from the committee telling me that they wanted to consider me a finalist in their applicant pool but that I hadn’t submitted my GRE scores. I submitted them right away and heard back yesterday. Good luck!

To the poster below who received interview invitation on February 10: were you waitlisted before?

I got accepted for a second time today when everyone else heard back. I assume my previous notification (2/7) was a mistake.

No GRE, No GPA (credit/non-credit system), BFA in Visual Communication Design. Extensive research experience with 1 published article and 1 conference paper, and portfolio with UX projects and case studies. No formal work experience (only internships).
