If anyone received an offer from WVU but doesn't plan on attending, please officially decline it. Being pulled from the waitlist is my only chance of getting in. Thank you so much!

GPA MA. 2a/2w/9r/1p.

I applied at the end of the application period when the program sent an email saying that there were still positions available. Got ~30 hours notice and no flexibility for a panel interview over Zoom. 5 of the 6 panelists made it very clear that they felt I was wasting their time (6th was youngest, and newest to faculty). Would not recommend this program unless you are dead set on it and can stand up for yourself. I have BScs in chemistry and physics and 8 years experience in various laboratories, was treated with significantly more respect by professors in other programs.

Acceptance from department heads. Email to check the portal came one day later. Honored since the program is so small but unfortunately I was waitlisted for funding.

The first not bad news in this round of sociology application. Grateful.

Application status was decided since Friday with no indication of the decision. Now it is updated.
