If you want theory, go to Rochester. If you want applied, go to UT Austin. Both of them strictly dominate Georgetown. They're top 30 while Georgetown is top 50

To be poster below: If you want to pursue a phd degree, just focus on department ranking and don't care University Ranking and geography, otherwise you will face more difficulties after graduation. It is very difficult to find a tenure-track job. So, OSU is the best choice.

How mang offers have been made by GU in the first round? Hope students who have better choice can decline GU asap. A lot of ordinary people still don't have any offer. Please help us. Thank you!

IDEAS is a deeply flawed ranking, and around half of OSU's faculty haven't registered on IDEAS, so their publications aren't being counted. OSU is top 30. Rutgers and Georgetown are top 50. Check the placements of domestic students and where the professors are publishing to confirm.
