Polite, personalized rejection notice. I'm assuming notifications are going out in alphabetical order. In case you're wondering, my last name starts with G. Congrats to those who got in!

Does anyone know when Montana notifies us about funding?

Awww, they're nice.

During the last six weeks, our faculty members have read a large group of applications for admission to the Helen Zell Writers’ Program. This was among the most impressive group of applicants in the program's history, and also the most numerous. Places are very limited, however, and we have been able to make offers to only a small number of applicants. We regret to say that your application for admission was not successful. Please know that our decision is meant to deny neither your talent nor your prospects—it is simply our collective judgment that others have first claim on our attention for now. We wish you every success in pursuing further study. And you are of course invited to apply again in the future.

Has anyone else not heard from Michigan? Emailed them over a week ago bc website showed my transcripts weren't received even though both were. Haven't heard back in 8 days... Starting to get anxious!

Totally expected. Applying was my way of giving myself a goal after chemo treatments. Not surprised at all and very grateful for the kind rejection email. Congrats to those accepted!

It's all right, it's okay, I'm so much better without you (*sobs into my ice cream as dreams of an MFA die a slow and painful death*) 5r/0a

Hello. It's me. Adele.

I'm actually happy because I finally received my first notice/step on the path to not having to give a fuck about these programs anymore either way

I really want to be excited about this but, after last year, I wish I had an email/call from the program itself. A bit wary. Not to mention my wondering about funding.

You win none, you lose some.........................all.

Technically an email to check the website!
