I received a personal email from the assistant dean over 2 weeks ago, saying I was an interesting candidate... asking me if I had any questions/was still interested. Checked the website today and it said admissions declined... confirmation to follow by mail. What a tease!!!

Letter telling me that their average admitted student had a 1200-something GRE and 3.5-something GPA. And that I was not admitted.

Very brief letter. Oh well, off to bigger and better things!

I called the graduate secretary and she said decisions would probably be sent out by next week....got the acceptance e-mail a few hours later though!! Soooo excited!

Letter dated 3/15 saying that they had yet to find/receive my transcripts... and would I please resend them in the next 2 weeks. Doesn't sound like they are in too much of a rush to get things finalized.

Sent it to my permanent address. My mom read it over the phone to me. Rather impersonal.

E-mail to say I looked like an interesting candidate, ask me if I had any questions, and see if I was still interested in the program.

Letter dated 3/8, postmarked 3/10. No word on funding though...do they even offer funding?

Postmarked and dated 3/10

Postmarked 3/10 - dated 3/9

Indiana, here I come?!?!?

Generic rejection letter that didn't even tell me I was special -- just something saying they had a ton of applicants and I shouldn't take it personally.

Received a follow-up letter that Saturday on 03/04/06.

Said they would let me know my status by May 30. Hmmm...

I did it!

No more waiting for Indiana... but now I have to wait to hear from everywhere else!

YAY!!!!

Yea, well...their loss.
