Last name starts with M. Got this within an hour of my rejection letter from Iowa. 0a/2r/0w

A very terse letter. Would've expected more from a renowned creative writing program.

I am a true warrior now!!! Woot! 1a/4w/1r

last name M.

Knew it was a long shot...but still disappointed. In debt out my *ss for all the money I spent on applications and currently about to cry if I get one more rejection today 1a(without funding)/0w/3r

So it goes.

Yet another in my conga-line of rejection letters... still waiting for news from two other schools but starting to wonder if I should have spent my money on rent instead of applications...

why does it take them several days to notify everyone? Seems like an admin could do it in an hour....

Nice email. No word on funding, although, it seems very minimal considering Baltimore funding options. Waiting to hear from 8 more schools and 1 wait list.

My last name starts with K. Good luck out there. (a0/r3) (5 remaining)

During the last six weeks, our faculty members have read a large group of applications for admission to the Helen Zell Writers’ Program. This was among the most impressive group of applicants in the program's history, and also the most numerous. Places are very limited, however, and we have been able to make offers to only a small number of applicants. We regret to say that your application for admission was not successful. Please know that our decision is meant to deny neither your talent nor your prospects—it is simply our collective judgment that others have first claim on our attention for now.

This one really hurt.

An amazing personal email from David Bosworth. Fully funded! 2a/0w/1r

notified by email. When I called, was called back by a prof there.

Short and sweet letter saying my application was denied. No bitterness. This is a super competitive career we're getting ourselves into. It's just part of the game.
