However, on the studentroom forum, a phd applicant heard from their department that most of the offers will be rolling out this week. Do you have any further information from the Trust or from your department?

To the poster below - the Trust doesn't officially reject people. From previous years, it appears you just accept you haven't been funded when you don't hear back. The majority of the funding is awarded in early March and I have seen a number of people say they got the CIS on another forum. They say its until June because they recycle a few offers but the majority would have been given out. There's only 250 scholarships and that's across all faculties and programs, for Masters and PhDs. I don't think they allocate it either, it's just the top 250 students.

To the poster below — was this confirmed by someone from the Trust? On the website they say that they continue announcing until July and it seems like not many people have heard back yet...

FYI to the internationals (non-EU) - if you haven’t heard from Gates or the Cambridge International Scholarships, it’s game over for us. We should be getting the official notification from Gates but I don’t think CIS actually sends any formal rejections. Very disappointing but funding in the UK seems to be so competitive and gets worse each year.

To the post below: From CT's website: If they succeed in securing funding from the research councils, then the CT would offer them a "honorary status" without renumeration. IMO, CT funding is more difficult as you are entering into competition with the whole university for 250 places (CIS).

To the post below, my status has been GAO for nearly two weeks. Are you required to attend the interview by the department or GAO, have they told you what you will be expected to be queried about?

To the Auz post below. Thanks for answering. OMG that's very impressive! whatever uni you're that means you must be the best!. Fingers crossed for your funding (and also mine)! I also study maths and physics.

Offered short compulsory interview on Feb 5. Had 15 min interview on Feb 13 and was told I had the offer. Conditional offer (need to pass current Masters) via email on Feb 21 (can't remember the exact dates for portal stages in between - about a week between the two I think?) Now have college acceptance (1st pref, yay), but no word on funding. Am an international student from Australia. Any other Australians out there who've been accepted to English PhD? Any word on funding?

Any offer-holders for MPhil ACS heard anything regarding funding? Bye bye Cambridge (and indeed all other Masters) if I don't get funding :-(
