To the poster below FSU, this was the number. 352 392 6650. She did say all rejections were in the mail, or soon to be.

Called admissions office. Congrats to all who got in :)

My application was stuck in the "grad review" stage in the portal for months. Sent an email several weeks ago to confirm that my application had even been received by the dept. Received an email from the grad school yesterday: my application "has been compiled by the Graduate School and referred to the academic department office for their review." Not sure why this took so long or what it means, given that others have already received notifications...

I emailed 2-3 times asking for notification of my status, received notification from director that I was "very high on the wait list."

For those in Poetry also waiting to hear from Irvine, I contacted the department yesterday (3/22), and was told by Sandra Mueller that poetry notifications have not gone out yet, and won't for about another week.

After seeing other acceptances roll out a while ago, I called the grad office. They suggested I e-mail the director. He sent me both the form wait list notification and replied personally.

A low-res program and a chunk of funding, TA program small (hourly pay, 8 hours a week...) 1a/1w/3r

if you're accepted to every school you apply to chances are you're applying to the wrong schools. 2a/0w/3r

Phone call on 3/18 with Lasky, followed by email today to check the portal. Immediately declined offer and have accepted a full funding offer elsewhere. Somehow when I applied I had no idea how large the cohort was...that combined with terrible funding was a no-go for me. Particularly unethical to me is the fact that you have to wait for your second year to apply for a competitive teaching fellowship. That kind of aid should be given upfront with an initial offer. 2a/2w/4r/1p

How did everyone else receive notification of their waitlist result? I called ISU on 3/16 to check on my status and received a follow up email from the graduate program assistant stating that I was still an "active" candidate. I'm assuming that means I'm waitlisted, but have yet to get an official email from the program.

wait listed, to be notified by 4/15
