Interviewed with committee on 2/11/2019, I heard from other forum that some people has already got Offer from the department. I assume thoes guys who have got Offer will be join the Campus visit on Mar 17, 18, and the arrangement is in process. I am nervous about now and looks like I am on the WL/Rej, anyways, will be waiting.

For those accepted at Emory, how was the campus visit and how many of you were there? What is your deadline for response? Thanks!

I finally received an official letter of acceptance via email after having a lengthy phone call with the program director discussing the program in detail the day before. The week before, the program director told me they were interested in me on an email, so at that time I still took it as unofficial.

To the poster bellow, I had my interview with Dr. Eugene Agichtein, on 02/15. I had questions regarding my current research; Outgoing of my Research; Why Emory; Why Machine Learning; What type of questions you want to solve/work with; The interview was about 40 minutes long. Are you guys also going for the visiting day?

Generic email; looks like they just wanted to make some of us squirm a bit between rejection rounds.

Emory poster below. She asked the same set of questions, and after that, I asked about the studies at Emory. She explained those. Overall a 15-20 minute call about very generic details. Which country are you from?

Called Friday. Emory does interviews and those have already happened, so if you haven't heard anything you can assume you're rejected. Not fond of these schools that don't send notifications. Feels like a shitty thing to do.

Interviewed and accepted. Funding decisions TBD. A lot of int'l experience, 4 good LORs.

Emory poster below, I had my interview on Feb 15th with Dr Avani Wildani. She mentioned initial decisions will be sent out this week or next.

Done interview with the faculty on 14th Feb. Asked basic questions like why Emory, Why PhD. No technical question. But no reply since then :'( . A bit tensed.
