Got a call from Major Jackson!

Has anyone been accepted/waitlisted at FSU fiction phd ?

Standard rejection template email.

Had a lovely call with Sabina Murray this morning!

Received a very kind, personalized email from one of the profs, who also offered to answer any questions I had over the phone. Amazing! 0a/1w/2r/13p

Received an automated rejection email.

Email to check the portal. We all know what that means. Welp. On a side note: why must the rejection letters use such harsh language? "Denied admission" is a bit ominous, don't you think? I would have much preferred "So long, and thanks for all the fish," or some such. Just a bit more human--and an acknowledgement of dolphin status. But thanks, anyway. They also deadnamed me

disappointed that a 4.0 GPA, teaching experience, publications, and great rec letters don't matter

Got an email saying they made a decision nd to check the portal. Feeling a little bummed since this is the second rejection in the past two days, but there is more to come. 1a/2r/12p.

email from a faculty member to expect an official admit from the director soon!
