International applicant with highest degree in UK. Still under review by department... Did anyone from pure maths hear from them?

To the post below: I am also "under review by department" since December. Not a good sign but let's try to stay positive.

Has anyone heard the outcome of PhD Engineering application? My status has been 'Under Review by department' since December.

So has ANY of the POLIS PhDs heard about funding apart from the AHRC funded candidate? Is it possible for no one from a department to get any Trust funding?

In spite of not having a First Class Honors Degree (International), invites for interview. Interviewer asked me at the end if my GPA is equal to a First Class Honours Degree. I said no but referred to my class rank (top 2%). He said that although they make an overall review, typically they send offers to students with a First Class Honours Degree. Two weeks later the rejection came. I wonder why they did not ask me about my degree before the interview and instead wasted their time.

To the poster below about PhD in Engineering: I have not applied to your direction but I have not heard anything yet either. Still under department review. I wonder if people from Engineering got their PhD application results or not?

Interview on March 1st, GAO on March 8th, Conditional Offer on March 16th

Is there anyone applying to machine learning or computer vision direction received results from the department? Was anyone invited for the interview?

Just wondering whether PhD Philosophy applicants have heard anything about funding?

On same boat. I believe it means they are still considering it. Maybe they were unsure about it and they waited until they evaluated other applications.

Tomorrow is the end of lent term. I am still 'under review by department' (early Dec 2017 applied). Does it mean that my application is unsuccessful?

RE poster below: No supervisor yet! Only allocated a college spot, that's it for now. I haven't heard from the department at all, and it seems that few have. I think they're just really behind with everything because of the strike.

To the MPhil poster below, I got accepted around the same time ( Murray Edwards College ) but have not heard anything on funding . Have you been allotted a supervisor ? Thank you
