Undergrad Major: Electrical Engineering; Last 4 semester GPA: 3.92

Got an email saying to check portal. I also am getting my bachelor's from OSU. I’m completing a B.S. in psychology and applying directly out of undergrad. I have research experience in two labs focused on clinical and developmental topics, along with coursework in psychopharmacology, abnormal psychology, and behavior modification. My primary research interests involve substance use and mental health in college-aged populations.

Email stating there was an update to my application. Went to portal, generic rejection: “Thank you for your interest in graduate studies at Oregon State University. We appreciate the time and effort you put into the application process. Regarding your application for admission to the doctoral program in psychology for enrollment in the fall 2026 academic quarter, I regret to inform you that it has been denied. Many factors enter into the acceptance or rejection of graduate applications. If you have questions about the final decision for your application, please contact the program to which you applied. We wish you the best in your academic journey.”

The professor nominated me and waived my GRE.

first decision i've gotten so far. kind of a bummer as this was my top choice. was told that their dept is *really* low on funding this cycle, though
