The admission told me they will send my decision by March 19th on March 12th, but they ended up sending it earlier. Maybe they want me to stop spamming their mailbox.

Applied for the new program and did not receive any invitation for an interview. I received the rejection notification at 2AM UK time. I guess that rumor about rejection getting sent from automated system is true then? Anyway, all the best for everyone!

I did not receive any email from NYU Steinhardt that ask me to check the portal. I was only checking it for "fun" and I saw that my application status was updated. Clicked in and ... boom! Best of luck to you if you are waiting for an answer from them!

Received a phone call on Saturday & got the official notification on the Portal on Monday. No funding but it was not needed. Will accept because it is my #1 choice :)

Heard back 2 days after the interview. Admissions meet every 2-3 weeks I believe so how soon you hear your results depends on if you interview right before or after their meeting. Also, the interview is with career management which comes across as less personal. 10 behavioural questions, not much interaction .
