Applied to both ME and MSE at the same time. Admitted for ME today and still waiting on MSE decision.

Was interviewed by a prof. Had a good interview. Prof told I had a good chance of admission, but the final decision will be made by the committee (the committee shortlisted in the first place). Got an email to check portal and received a rejection message. Was hopeful, but didn't go my way.
