A 4-MONTHS wait. Dept. admission letter on April 8th and school decision on April 13th night. Acceptance must be made BEFORE April 15th! Good time strategy to reject procrastinators.

If you decided NO please let them know! Just spoke with my potential advisor and he said they are waiting to hear back from students before knowing if they can admit waitlisted students.

(Ignore waitlist) I'm American and I haven't heard anything. Do you know if UCLA lets people know by April 15th or not? Cuz thats when I have to commit to another program.

To the posters below waiting for UCLA acceptance: A while back at the UCLA open house for accepted students' the admissions mentioned that all their acceptances will be released within the next 2 weeks and this was a month ago.

MS graduate at another school, email to check portal no word on funding or when I have to decide by, still waiting on 3 other schools

Asked about status and was told I am on the waitlist, but that it is unlikely I will get an offer. (Applied math)

Notified last week by POI that I'd been put on the waitlist. Acceptance came this afternoon!

This letter came a whole week after I chose Boston University. Oh well, I am pleasantly surprised they admitted me regardless.

FINALLY!! Hope everyone gets an answer soon too.

I sent a status update request through the UCLA ECE Message Center on April 8. Got the following reply today via email, "Thank you for your interest in our program. Our department is currently finalizing admission decisions. All students will be notified via email regardless of the outcome. Thank you for your patience.". I don't think I am hearing from them before April 15.

Not an interview- It's ridiculous how they haven't given any decisions yet?!?! The deadlines to accept other offers are almost here

To the posters below: I have also received zero response from UCLA and it is 4/12 lol. I think it's a disgrace for a top university like UCLA to leave students in the dark! My last email from them was Dec.1, which was to confirm that my application was submitted. I have just submitted my SIR to a different school and will not attend UCLA at this point even if they accept me.

TTPB: No response for PhD app yet. It is almost April 15 and I have already committed to another uni but I am disappointed by their lack of communication.

Anyone else still waiting to receive a response?

TTPB: I was told by the department that the admission committee was trying to finalize all the decisions by 4/15. I'll probably take the offer and I sincerely hope you'll get an offer from any one of the schools that you mentioned. Good luck!
