email from GDS informing me that they were only able to accept one PhD student this cycle due to funding cuts

I have not received a formal rejection but it's assumed. To those who keep asking , applicants have been offered a spot since mid Feb. Not upset but kind of turned off given that all of us applied in dec and a rejection letter is easy to compose? best wishes to all of you :)

So frustrated. This is really unfair.

Very late to find out, but happy that I got in. Was offering partial funding as well. I will probably reject the offer, but it's nice to know that I could get in.

TTPB: Uhm, they conducted interviews? And just to clarify, what did you mean with "just apply it"? You mean, to just accept they misled applicants by making it appear that there is an application process, but in reality, there is no funding for new PhDs at all?

not WL, but did anyone hear back from the Oriental Studies department on the DPhil?

Got accepted into the accelerated program with a $24,000 merit based scholarship that will be spread out 3 semesters. Still waiting to hear about need-based aid. I also already have an MA.

American Studies MA at CSER. No GRE, UGPA 3.65. Accepted via email from director of program, said additional info available in a few days on portal.

Contacted by academic advisor to let me know I was accepted into the program. No info about financial aid yet, but still a very exciting opportunity!

Super excited to get an admission off the waitlist!

No email; just randomly checked the portal and saw a status update. As much as this was my dream program, I know that it was also a reach for me (applied with just a BA, no master's degree/experience). Honestly relieved just to cross it off and move on. Good luck to everyone :)

PLEASE decline if you don't wish to go here! I thought I nailed my interview, sadly I'm shocked I was waitlisted. It's my #1 school.

4.0 grad school, 5 years of public health experience, no GRE submitted

Received an email informing me I was accepted. I didn't do my undergrad at Stanford — wasn't a coterminal applicant.

I received an email from the director of admissions welcoming me to the program and an attached 40% merit aid award letter. No email from the grad school itself as of yet and no update to the portal. I received an informal email on 22 March that I posted earlier. I have 4 years of relevant experience and went to a small-mid size private undergrad.
