Did my undergrad in the same department, as such, was told (1/18) due to policy they would hold my application without decision until April 15. Updated 2/24 that I was on the waitlist pending all other offer acceptance decisions.

Community college transfer student with weak academic start but strong upwards trajectory (Upper division GPA 3.8, xfer GPA 3.2). 6 months research experience in applied mathematics & computation. No publications. Internship in industry. Did not submit GRE scores. Rejected from PhD program but offered admission to non-funded masters.
