I think i got this reject mainly because i missed my interview. Apart from that, my application was strong and fit for the program.

Got the letter of acceptance into the PhD program through email. International Accepts are expected in the coming 1-2 weeks.

The waitlist seems to be for everyone that wasn't accepted initially. I don't think it means anything other than "please stop bothering us until we start to do our rejections in April."

Please decline if you have another offer! Pitt may be my last hope.

Pittsburgh happens to be my top choice and I would be very grateful if you guys decline their offer at the earliest, in case you are planning not to go there. I don't know how much this update really means considering nobody has posted a rejection and from previous years those usually don't get posted until April.

Waitlisted via email to check website. HEP and cosmology. This one's interesting, considering I've been offered admission *with* a hefty full fellowship at a significantly higher-ranked institution along with a couple other acceptances. I guess it really *has* been a highly competitive year and admissions have been pretty hard to predict. Very glad I shelled out for a wide spread on applications this year and grateful for what I have. Will likely withdraw Pittsburgh application tomorrow. Hope this makes room for someone else on the wait list!

One year work with professor, not surprised but may not have funding for the first year. My parents are ready to pay for that. 3 publication(First author) + 1 thesis.

A week ago they asked me if I'm still available. TOEFL score 105, 2 years in the industry, no publications, two time ACM ICPC world finalist.

I have graduated with a Master from the same school with a 3.8 GPA
