Had two separate interviews with PIs named in my application between late December and early January, and an email chain going with another who is on Sabbatical in Europe. Did not take/submit GRE (honestly I think the general GRE is falling out of favor with most science and engineering graduate programs; a high score might help with a low GPA, though). Received acceptance email from director of the EE graduate program on 1/13 and an official acceptance letter from ND Graduate School on 1/14, full funding.

Top-notch LoRs; Papers in top Journals and Conferences; Best Research Awards; No GRE Got interviewed by the first-choice professor in the application.

No GRE score. Interviewed on 12/14/2022, half an hour discussion with a professor of my POIs, who I actually contacted and got a reply before the application.

My first acceptance. No interview conducted. Funding offer letter received a couple days later. 1/2 Dept. fellowship and 1/2 RA.

I interviewed with a professor I emailed (the PI's website said to email them with application if interested). Professor is in ME department but in interdisciplinary subject. This is the professor's second year.

Did not submit GRE. Interviewed on 01/03/2022, had 30 minute discussion with the professor I indicated as my first choice.

MS/PhD. Applied 27/9, academic interview on 20/10, personal interview on 15/11, decision came out on 22/11.
