!! This program rejected me last year, so I'm taking this as good news that my work has grown over the last year.

It has been a harrowing couple months, but ultimately successful. Ironically, I was rejected everywhere except for my top choice—the one I believed was wishful thinking. It speaks to the subjectivity of the admissions process. Hang in there everyone. Rejections are not necessarily evidence of inadequate quality. 1a/7r/0w

Got a call from Jim, the director of the program. It was a verbal green light from him and I should receive an official email from the graduate school tomorrow. Funding is not completely solidified yet, he said he'd know by April 1st. This is my first acceptance and I was so relieved to get that call. 1a/4r/0w
