Received an email from department head this morning

Had lost all hope for this admissions cycle and then out of the blue the email came. I'm so excited! 1a/5r

Is there anyone who got a decision from the University of Iowa?

I have checked my rejection via website. Very tough situation, however still waiting another waitlist.

Got in off the waitlist!

Received an email from the head of the department explaining that I was a finalist and on the waiting list. This program is my first choice - so, fingers crossed!

I was placed on the waitlist to interview

Accepted but declined admissions offer!

Ranked waitlist

randomly checked the portal, it was updated to say Not Accepted. this finishes me out at 1a/1w/4r. happy to be done!

Expected this rejection. However I got a very nice note stating that they loved my manuscript and, while they assume i'll be getting different offers, if I don't land anywhere they want me to apply again next year.

Short letter in the mail. Not surprised, but I'm down to a waitlist and 3 pending now... 0a/1w/8r/3p

Note that the admission committee liked my manuscript and to apply again if I don't end up elsewhere this year, very encouraging

Ignore Interview. Has anyone received the letter (acceptance or waitlist) from the University of Iowa?
