TTPB: I also had to contact the department and was similarly told that if I hadn't been asked to interview, I would most likely not get an offer. Poster below is not trolling, I do think the department or certain staff members may be giving different answers. I got this response over email about three weeks ago.

disregard the waitlist: to mention to the folks who are curious when offers are made, I was emailed on Feb 16th, 2021 that offers would be made final 3 weeks from then - which is this upcoming week. So HOPEFULLY we can expect to hear back sometime this week. I am staying hopeful.

Email from Prof. Sowaal and official notification later. It seems no funding for international students to apply before admission, and positions for assistants are adviced to be applied in the second semester. Probably accept, for it is the only positive news for me and this program seems good enough, especially for someone who wants to be trained as a teacher, like me.

TTPB: I asked the department twice, and I did not get a response like yours. They told me, "We are still working through offers. You should hear by the end of this week." So either you are just trolling or they are saying two (or more) different things. I would say (based on the responses I got from the coordinator), there is still hope left, so don't give up yet.

Are all the admits after the recruitment event rolled out? In thr event they said by March starting they will roll out the results

I contacted the department. Their response: "The invitations for interviews have already gone out, so unfortunately, if you have not received an invitation this likely means we are not able to consider you for the PhD."

if you plan to not accept the offer please decline it soon. you will help others that are on the waitlist

To the poster below- I am not an out of field application (my bachelor's is in speech pathology) and I received an invite for an interview in February.

Has anyone heard from SFSU? I haven't yet. I saw about a month ago people got interviews but I wasn't sure if that was for out of field applicants... any information helps!!!

Got a phone call from a PI in the program. So thrilled, this is my top choice!!
