2 potential supervisors encouraged me to submit my application. Now I wonder why they were so positive and encouraging. Based on posts from the previous years, it seems like they've sent us the same rejection letter, which explained "the applicant pool was exceptionally strong." This year only 6 graduate positions were available. 170 applicants.

"We regret to inform you..." -If you regret it so much, can I get a refund on that application fee?
